Red Area: the scorched "Lungs of LA"

The Station Fire burned through the mountains east of Los Angeles throughout the end of August and into mid-September.

Authorities still have not found the culprit of the Station Fire, the largest blaze in the recorded history of the Angeles National Forest and the 10th largest fire in California since 1933.

[to put it in Swiss perspective, the Station Fire was the size of the WHOLE Valle Maggia region!]

Authorities reiterated Thursday that an outstanding reward of $50,000 is still available to anyone with information about the investigation into the blaze and/or deaths of the two firefighters who died fighting the fire.
